Topic: LOVING GOD PASSIONATELY

FOCAL SCRIPTURE: NEH. 1:1-4

WISDOM CAPSULE: And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days,and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven. Neh 1:4

To be passionate for the Lord and all that pertains to Him here on the earth, is the best thing that can happen to any one who is a child of God. When the passion for God is in us, it cannot be hidden but be seen because it always overwhelms. This was the experience of Brother Nehemiah in his days as a slave in a strange land.

Although, Nehemiah was a Cup-bearer in the palace of the King in Shushan, by this status, he was supposed to enjoy certain pleasures and freedom unlike those other fellows of his held captive and slave in the land.

He did not allow himself to be carried away with all these pleasures, rather, he was always asking about his land of nativity which has just been destroyed.

Each time Nehemiah had the opportunity to see or meet anyone coming from the land of Jerusalem that has been broken down; he would ask those details of the condition and state of the land.

Nehemiah thought of the bad state of his land of origin that he sat down and wept, mourned for several days and then fasted and prayed for the reconstruction of the land of Jerusalem.

The passion for his land became so overwhelming that it showed on his countenance until the King saw it and ask him of what was wrong with him.

This is what passion for God and His Kingdom can do in any life that it enters.

Passion for God is one of the virtues that we need to possess especially in this end time.

When we are passionate for God; we will be ready to go the extra mile to do anything that will promote His Will anywhere we are found.

We will be concerned about the spread of the gospel and the rescue of souls moving towards hell.

Passion for God will trigger our hunger to fast and pray for the move of God in this endtime, it will sponsor our drive to live all out for God without any form of compromise.

Passion for God will ensure we do not run away from facing persecution for the gospel sake in whatever form it comes.

May the Lord help us.

Declare These

— Father, let Your passion enter into me afresh
— I will live for Jesus all my days in Jesus name.
– I’ll awaysly put you in front. Jesus take the wheel, have all of me Lord
